La Remise de Diogène

This interactive installation features a collection of objects. All carefully arranged on cramped shelves, they suddenly spring to life, producing an improbable concert of mechanical music. At first glance, the installation resembles a forgotten flea market, whose array of objects have long been gathering dust. But La Remise de Diogenes is far from being a museum where nothing moves and everything seems frozen for eternity…
Using a panel of buttons, visitors are invited to set these trinkets in motion, suddenly transformed into a mechanical orchestra. The sounds of mixers, the percussion of pieces of wood, the clinking of antique crockery, the flashing of lampshades: the dust rises and a surprising music emerges!
