Zoltar
Zoltar is an attempt to randomly provide an intelligible vocabulary. It has over 25,000 words that have been recorded and classified one by one. At the press of a button, we can see it select, using its abacus-brain, the articles, adverbs, adjectives, prepositions, interjections, verbs and common nouns that will constitute a sentence. Zoltar assembles them according to one of its 10 possible sentence constructions, then recites it to anyone who comes to ask its advice. Programming: Frédérique Laliberté Developed at Avatar as part of a creative residency in 2012. Zoltar is a mechanical work created in 2014 as part of the Ex Muro Humanorium exhibition, the strange funfair.
